Who can apply to DDE?

Anyone can apply! All are welcome.

Can my video submission be rehearsal footage?

Yes, absolutely! Any video to represent the work is accepted.

Can my work-in-progress be incomplete when I submit?

We accept works in any stage of the process in hope that the feedback received at the performance will provide helpful insight.

How will I receive my feedback?

Audience members will write their feedback for each work on separate notecards, which will be collected through out the evening in labeled bags. At the end of the night, each artist will get to take home their labeled bag, if wanted.

Can I apply with more than one dance?

Artists can apply multiple times with different dance works, however there is a $25 fee for each submission.

Will there be photo and video of my performance?

DDE hires a photographer for the event and each artist will receive images of their work(s) only, free of charge. We do not video the performance, however we encourage artists to film their own work(s) during tech rehearsal.

How do I buy tickets?

Tickets are sold at the door only. There are no pre-sales
